As 2018 came to an end, we look back at some of the major developments that have taken place through the year 2018 at Development Logics (DL).
Business Development: We have expanded partnership in the US. Our relationships have grown thereby improving our sales pipeline, making it more robust this year. We have set up a new company in the US and we hope to expand our business in the geography.
We are now looking to expand, through partnerships, to regions such as Europe, South East Asia and Australia.
In India, we have set-up an office in Shimla to cater to the growing requirement of technology services with the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
We have been successful in receiving small grants. We also participated in several conferences to improve our visibility and reach out to new partners and clients.
Our Leadership: We are happy to inform that Saurabh Mittal has joined the company board as an advisor.
Our Director, Shilpa was selected for a fellowship for women entrepreneurs by Vital Voices. She participated in the fellowship conference in Ireland.
Our Director Varun was appointed as a visiting faculty at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kangra. He attended 2 board meetings at IIT Mandi, for his role as a member of the board of governors at their incubation centre. He moderated a panel discussion on “Make for Customers: Why experience matters?” at the Himalayan Startup Trek, a startup conference organized in IIT Mandi.
Varun was conferred the Entrepreneur of Year award by the Divya Himachal group.
New Projects: The digital team bagged a number of new projects in 2018. We have been empanelled with the Himachal Pradesh Government for software development and web development projects.
Contact Centre Services: We put in place an additional Internet leased line backup for our voice support group to improve the service reliability. In addition, we rolled out an additional shift to offer better coverage for our clients in the US.
Digital services: We have been able to strengthen our processes around client and partner engagement. We are now more focused on showing a return on investment to our clients for their digital spends.
Strengthening SEO services was a priority last year and we have been able to achieve it. We have perfected the secret ingredient, which is helping our customer achieve better rankings on the search engines. This has lead to a significant increase in their organic search impressions as well as visitors to their website.
For content marketing services, we now have a dedicated content team in place for content marketing. We have on-boarded both regular and freelance content writers. We are continuing to expand this group and hope to add more people with skills in developing quality content for the digital space.
Employee Engagement: This year we introduced the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) methodology of goal setting across the company. Accordingly, we have set and are monitoring quarterly goals and results. This has helped all employees work together in one direction towards common company goal. At the same time, our team members are able to work on their personal goals.
Community engagement: Various internship programmes were set up for the youth. We hosted interns from the MCA department at Dharamshala college, Government engineering college, Sundernagar and Mass communication department in the Central University of Himachal Pradesh.
Development Logics was also one of the local community partners for the Dharamshala International Film Festival. We host and maintain the festival’s website.
The year 2018 was an eventful year and we are looking forward to scaling greater heights in 2019.
